Managing Messages

No. 1 What is the myTino Message Centre?
myTino Message Centre is a useful communication tool where you can keep all your myTino related correspondence in one convenient location. From the Message Centre you can send messages to any myTino member which are displayed when the user signs in.
There are two types of messages in the Message Centre:

1. Messages from Theo: Theo is the myTino mascot. Theo sends messages to all users regularly concerning matters of account administration and the myTino system. Examples include Marketplace-related messages inviting you to participate in bids within your field of expertise or reminders about the status of your posted jobs. Other  examples include Community messages inviting you to join new groups or notices regarding your postings.

2. Messages from other users: These are ordinary messages which you receive from myTino users.

No. 2   How do I open the Message Centre?
Method 1: After signing in, you can access the Message Centre by clicking the message icon, , in the top right hand corner of the page.

Method 2: Alternatively, you can click My Office and select Inbox. This will show all your received mesages, including any  unread messages you may have. Click the messages to see the whole text.

No. 3   How do I send messages?
Step 1: After signing in, click My Office and select Compose within the Message Centre. Alternatively, you can send a  message directly from the Profile page of the user you wish to contact by clicking located beside his  or her profile image.

Step 2: After opening the Compose page, fill in the names of your recipient(s) (five names at most, separated with  commas) and the message subject.

Step 3: You can also upload up to three attachments. These may not exceed 2 MB per message.

Step 4: Enter your message and click . A copy of the message will automatically be saved in the Sent folder. You can also save messages as drafts. Click to keep a copy of the message in the Draft folder before sending for future review

No. 4   How do I reply to messages?
Open the original message and click to fill in your reply. myTino will automatically quote the original message in your reply - you may delete this text manually if you wish.
If the original message was sent to many users, you can click the drop-down menu, , and choose Reply to All to send your reply to every user who received the original message.

No. 5   How do I delete messages?
Method 1: After signing in, click My Office and then select Inbox. Click the checkbox next to the item(s) you want to  delete. Click to delete those items.

Method 2: You can also individually open each message you want to delete and then click .
Deleted messages are saved in the Trash folder. If you delete the messages in the Trash folder, the messages will be deleted forever.
